Order processing

What the video shows

The video has no narration, only music and these words on screen.

  1. 0:00 Order processing. “Orders entered for you, with the mistakes caught before they ship.” Beside the title, the order with its total circled: “The total doesn’t add up.”
  2. 0:04 Your team retypes every order by hand. An inbox fills with four new orders. Then “One typo, and the wrong order ships”: a quantity of 12 is typed in as 21.
  3. 0:10 Now it reads the order for you. Bistro Lumière’s order is scanned and its details appear: three lines, a total of $2,014.00 and delivery on June 3.
  4. 0:19 And it catches the mistakes. “5 problems found.” The total doesn’t add up: the order says $2,014.00, but the items come to $2,041.00. The olive oil is discontinued, and it suggests the replacement, olive oil 4 L at $47. Delivery is before the order date: ordered June 8, for delivery June 3.
  5. 0:35 You fix them in a few clicks. The total, the olive oil, the delivery date (now June 23) and the email address are fixed, and Create order is clicked.
  6. 0:41 The order’s in. The reply’s written. Order NF-SO-4C0CE8 for $2,041.00, delivery June 23, and an email to Élise Gagnon confirming it, saved as a draft for you to send.
  7. 0:49 No more retyping. “Mistakes caught before they ship.”
  8. 0:53 We’ll build this for your orders. “Start with a free one-hour call.” Book a free call, ethan@mitras.ca.
